This place may not be vegan, but the staff at this location is excellent, and they go out of their way to provide a great experience. It is no wonder they had to double their size for the downtown Fort Lauderdale location earlier this year (2021).

While the menu only offers a few vegans items, they are all excellent, and they allow you to make custom orders so that you can have a variety of veggie/rice dishes or veggie/noodle dishes.

I love the two main vegan entrees they offer; the Golden Ramen Curry and the Udon Mushroom. Both dishes are delicious, but it depends on your taste. If you love a “beefy” mushroom dish, I highly recommend the Udon Mushroom noodle. It is a filling dish with a savory flavor and a variety of mushrooms. However, if you don’t love mushrooms, this dish is not for you.

The Golden Ramen Curry, on the other hand, has a mild flavor and is easy to eat. The noodles, tofu, and veggies come in a mild curry broth. This dish is perfect for anyone who likes raw tofu and a more subtle flavor, but be sure to bring your appetite because it comes in a large bowl.

In addition to fantastic food, this place has a great bar! I highly recommend their “Japanese Old Fashion” or their Aperol Spritzer. Either way, you’ll be glad you did!
